A primeros de este de mes de septiembre la Comisión Europea, conjuntamente
con AT Kearney y Fraunhofer han publicado un estudio sobre el impacto que supone la
realización de un diagnóstico en gestión de
la innovación en algunas empresas europeas utilizando el
estándar europeo IMP3rove.
En el estudio se describen
casos de éxito de empresas que han
utilizado IMP3rove como herramienta que les
pudiese orientar y ayudar a diagnosticar como se encuentran en
innovación comparándolas con otras empresas
Europeas de su sector, tamaño y edad. Una vez realizado el diagnóstico se
obtienen unos resultados que la compañía puede utilizar para mejorar su
innovación y por lo tanto incrementar su Rentabilidad, Competitividad y Sostenibilidad.
En el caso de Iphonedroid, básicamente se
descubrió que podría establecer una red de colaboración de especialistas en innovación que le ayudasen a lanzar una nueva línea de negocio basado en la creación de un innovador producto
propio que se pudiese comercializar en el mercado utilizando un modelo de negocio innovador, y que además pudiese ser financiado mediante la obtención de financiación pública.

Description of
IPHONEDROID
Iphonedroid is a young ICT
company that was founded with the aim of bridging the gap that exists within
the field of software development for mobile devices in Spain.
Iphonedroid has a staff of 15 technicians
and a number of freelance contributors, with significant growth expected over
the next three years.
Although
Iphonedroid has developed small software applications to be sold in
supermarkets as the Apple Store content, its
main line of business is to develop custom software for customers who need
to exploit their information systems as well as for all customers who wish to
incorporate a new line of business in their companies through customized
software for mobile devices.
To diversify its business Iphonedroid decides
to open a new line of business which is to develop and sell its own products.
With the sale of its products Iphonedroid expected to get income and resources
needed for growth and consolidation.

Trigger for
IPHONEDROID for the Innovation Management Consulting Services
The main challenge was that Iphonedroid to
develop its new business model it needed to know if using its current structure
could be able to develop new products, or if instead must rely on external
experts in innovation to help it by example:
- To find and get financing for their new products
- To systematize its innovation processes
- To quantify the time to market: How many months take the companies from beginning of the development
(project authorization) to getting new products on sale
- To quantify the time to profit: how many months take in average the companies from project authorization
to reach the break even point

When Iphonedroid knew it should respond to

After analyzing the Comparative

learned
From our point of view is very
important that companies are aware that if they do not innovate may disappear.
To not go away should think of innovation as the engine that can help them to
increase their competitiveness, profitability and sustainability.
Companies should know in what condition are they in the
innovation management. IMP3rove is the perfect tool that will allow them the comparison
with other companies in its sector, size, country and age, or even with other
companies outside their industry. To take full advantage of IMP3rove the
companies should hire a consultan to guide them on what steps should be taken
to increase their profitability.
Finally,
in Gest-InnovaIde we believe that the companies who want to succeed through
innovation they should collaborate with innovative institutions such as
universities, technology centers, experts in financing innovation, in creating
